About
Tanja Joy Henderson was born in Southern California to John and Doselene Henderson, Founders of Christ New Testament Church. She began her singing career at the tender age of three. Performing endlessly at various church functions, Tanja quickly realized she possessed a voice that captivated all audiences alike. Singing became a passion she craved, which consequently drove her to pursue her dreams as a performer and solo artist.
Seeking to expand her resume, Tanja took to the stage in 2010 working with Big Mike Brown Productions. She performed in the Hit Gospel Stage Play “A Man That Finds A Wife Finds A Good Thing”, starring alongside talents like James De Barge. She finally felt she was living her dream! Off stage, Tanja and Big Mike fell in love. From 2010 to 2018, Tanja acted and sang in numerous lead roles and helped run Big Mike’s production company. Big Mike dubbed Tanja “Boss Lady” because he respected her work ethic. He felt she could conquer anything she put her mind to as she was an excellent multitasker; performing while also assisting Big Mike manage his company.
On August 15, 2018, three days before their wedding, Tanja lost the love of her life. Taking her grief and turning it into motivation, Tanja founded Boss Lady Productions September 6, 2018, which would’ve been Big Mike’s 53rd birthday. She held her first concert in August 2019 at the Bristol Theater for Diabetes Awareness, in memory of Big Mike. In 2020 Boss Lady Productions went on to put on a concert at the Bristol Theater for Valentine’s Day in addition to the first Annual Swim-A-Thon at the Los Angeles YMCA for Diabetes Awareness. Boss Lady Productions also opened up a Lounge at the Canvas City of Los Angeles for the Grown and Sexy Events.
Coming off of these successes, Tanja started writing, producing, directing, and filming. She completed her first film, “Mama Tell Me Why” November 2021, with her second film, “Dysfunctional Family” completed December 2021. Tanja also known as “Boss Lady” by her crew and peers, is now sitting in the seat as Film Director, Writer, and Producer.
